Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways and infrastructure contractor across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North West. You’ll price and tender work from enquiry through to submission while upholding commercial governance.

The role requires strong estimating, risk assessment and the ability to interpret technical and contractual information, with flexible/hybrid working and a base around Leeds, Manchester or Salford.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating or tendering experience in highways, civils or infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and tendering work from initial enquiry through to submission.
• Produce accurate and competitive estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender information.
• Assess commercial, contractual, operational and technical risk.
• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Build tender submissions around customer requirements.
• Support value-engineering and alternative solutions.
• Work with operational and commercial teams.
• Contribute to tender reviews and bid strategy.
• Ensure tenders meet governance and commercial requirements.
