Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways and infrastructure contractor across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North West. The role will focus on pricing, tendering and commercial control from enquiry through submission.

The successful candidate will review drawings, specifications and risk, build competitive tenders and collaborate with operational and commercial teams to deliver winning solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating or tendering experience.
• Strong understanding of highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure projects.
• Commercial awareness and confidence assessing risk.
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information.
• Confidence working with operational and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to work accurately to deadlines.
• Experience with NEC contracts, highways frameworks or public-sector infrastructure work would be advantageous but is not essential.

Andrews Recruitment are one of the UK's leading Aggregate & Building Materials Recruitment partners and we’re recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways and infrastructure contracting business across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West.

This is not just a role for someone who can produce a price. The successful Quantity Surveyor will understand the commercial, operational and technical detail behind a scheme, build competitive tenders and help present a solution that makes commercial sense to the customer.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take responsibility for pricing and tendering work from initial enquiry through to submission.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in people with genuine experience of estimating within highways, surfacing, civil engineering or infrastructure.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Previous estimating or tendering experience


• Strong understanding of highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure projects


• Commercial awareness and confidence assessing risk


• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information


• Confidence working with operational and commercial stakeholders


• Ability to work accurately to deadlines

The Team

You’ll join an established estimating and commercial function, working alongside senior Estimators, Contracts teams and operational colleagues.
