Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator to win work across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North West. This Leeds-based role offers hybrid working, with a focus on delivering competitive tenders and strong customer relationships to grow our regional portfolio.

You’ll manage pricing and the tendering process from enquiry to submission, balancing commercial insight with technical understanding to drive success in major highways and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial and estimating experience within Highways, Surfacing or Infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage broad stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate, competitive and high-quality tenders.
• Assessing financial, contractual, operational and technical risks.
• Supporting the development of a strong pipeline of future opportunities.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, clients and key stakeholders.
• Reviewing and appraising completed tenders to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Understanding customer requirements and developing bids that reflect their needs.
• Ensuring compliance with company processes, policies and governance procedures.
• Contributing to the delivery of regional and national commercial strategies.
