Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for highways projects in Manchester. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site and lead safety initiatives across sites.

The role requires a proven track record on highways and civil engineering projects, with strong on-site leadership, staff training, incident prevention, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have health & safety qualifications such as a Masters, Bachelor's Degree, NVQ, or NEBOSH IOSH membership.
• Proven history of operating on highways and civil engineering projects with strong H&S standards.
• Experience as Health & Safety Manager or similar with a proven track record.

Responsibilities

• Regularly conduct safety inspections, adhering to safety standards.
• Provide staff training on health and safety procedures and regulations.
• Monitor workplace conditions and practices to identify areas for improvement.
• Offer guidance and consultation to management, employees, and contractors.
• Update safety records to regulatory standards and maintain documentation.
• Establish health and safety policies in line with laws and regulations.
• Lead safety meetings and address concerns professionally.
• Identify opportunities to enhance health and safety performance.
• Examine accidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Perform workplace risk assessments and minimise risks.
• Oversee compliance with health and safety laws and company policies.
