Caval is seeking an Experienced Health & Safety Manager for highways projects in Manchester. You will ensure compliance with H&S regulations, lead safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvement on site.

The role requires formal HSE qualifications (Masters/Bachelor’s/NVQ/NEBOSH) and preferably IOSH membership, with a proven track record on highways or civil engineering sites. On-site work in the North West is expected.

Formación

• IOSH Membership preferred.
• Licenced or accredited HSE qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience in health and safety on highways or civil projects is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Regularly conduct safety inspections and audits.
• Lead staff training on health and safety procedures and regulations.
• Monitor workplace conditions and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance to management, employees and contractors on HSE matters.
• Maintain up-to-date safety records in line with regulations.
• Establish and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Lead safety meetings and address concerns promptly.
• Analyse incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Perform risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and company policies.
• Develop emergency response plans and run drills.
