Job summary

EKFB is recruiting for a Handover and Completion Highways Manager (Highways) to join the Routewide team based in Milton Keynes. You will monitor and report progress on H&C activities and contribute to policy development within the Business Management System.

The role requires extensive highways construction experience, stakeholder engagement with local councils, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary tasks across the project. A CSCS card and driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field; Chartered status preferred.
• Extensive highways construction and handover/completion experience.
• Experience securing local council consents during delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report progress on route-wide handover, completion and commissioning activities.
• Develop handover, completion and commissioning policies within the Business Management System.
• Act as main point of contact between H&C Team and Highways.
• Develop route-wide highway maintenance scope and procurement strategy.
• Programme management of highway assets for consents and associated works.
• Support audit processes and coordinate with Parent Company specialists.
• Review and update highways completion plan and related guidance.
• Coordinate ICDs with local authorities and maintain readiness reviews.
• Track status of partially complete highways in temporary states.
