Job summary

EKFB is seeking a Handover and Completion Manager (Highways) in Milton Keynes to lead route-wide H&C activities, develop policies, and drive commissioning across major highways projects. You will coordinate with Local Authorities, manage interfaces, and ensure readiness of highway assets while supporting audit processes and collaborative working with parent company specialists.

You will be a key contact for the H&C team, overseeing route-wide programmes, consents, and safety/compliance

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or similar field; ideally Chartered.
• Extensive highways construction and/or design experience with handover, completion and commissioning.
• Experience securing consents from local councils at various stages.
• Excellent people and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong delivery focus with commercial awareness; proactive and independent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report progress on Route wide handover, completion and commissioning activities.
• Contribute to development of handover policies and guidance in the Business Management System.
• Act as main point of contact between H&C Team and Highways.
• Develop route wide highway maintenance scope and manage procurement and contractor oversight.
• Programme management of highway assets for consents and associated works.
• Review and update highways completion plan; draft processes and guidance for application.
