Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Technician to join the Environmental & Preventative Team in Croft. The role involves on-site inspections, surveys, producing works packages, and supporting surface dressing design. You will also create maps, info using software, and arrange repairs while occasionally working alone on highway sites.

The ideal candidate has NVQ3 or equivalent (e.g. BTEC/A-Levels) with relevant experience, strong IT and communication skills, and the ability to manage time

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent with relevant subjects or demonstrable experience.
• Experience capturing, storing and retrieving information.
• Proficient IT use including Microsoft Office and interpreting maps/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site inspections and surveys.
• Produce packages of works and support surface dressing design.
• Produce maps and information using relevant software.
• Order works for repairs to the network.
• Occasional lone working on highway sites and surveys.
