Job summary

Cumberland Council is seeking a permanent Highways Technician to join the Highways and Transport service. The role supports the design, delivery and monitoring of highway improvement and maintenance projects, asset data, specifications and winter maintenance.

You will collect and analyse asset data, prepare designs and specifications, provide technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders, and help ensure compliance with legislation, contract requirements and Council policies while developing

Qualifications

• Relevant technical or vocational qualification.
• Experience working in a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, delivery and monitoring of highway improvement and maintenance projects
• Collect and analyse asset data
• Prepare designs and specifications
• Support winter maintenance activities
• Provide technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders
