Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting on behalf of a specialist highways consultancy for a Development Planning Highway Technician on a contract basis in Greater London. You will produce accurate CAD drawings and technical plans for highway and infrastructure schemes, working from engineers' designs and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as Highway Technician, CAD Technician or similar in the highways sector.
• Proficient in CAD software and the production of technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of highway design and development planning principles.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical information.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing highway and transport-related drawings using CAD software.
• Supporting development planning and infrastructure design projects.
• Producing detailed technical plans, layouts and associated documentation.
• Working from engineers' designs, technical information and project specifications.
• Updating drawings in line with design changes and client requirements.
• Collaborating with engineers, transport planners and project teams.
• Ensuring drawings are accurate, clearly presented and compliant with relevant standards.
