Carrington West is currently looking for a Sub Agent to join a major highways infrastructure project in Ballinluig, Perthshire, Scotland. You will support the Site Agent and Project Manager, coordinating daily construction activities and ensuring works are delivered to drawings and standards.

The role offers exposure to earthworks, drainage, and road construction on a high-profile scheme, with opportunities to develop toward Site Agent and Project Management positions.

Qualificações

• Previous experience as a Sub Agent, Senior Site Engineer or similar role within civil engineering.
• Experience working on highways, roads or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, highways construction and civil engineering activities.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supervising site engineering teams.
• A good understanding of construction programmes, technical drawings and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial procedures would be advantageous.
• SMSTS or SSSTS and a CSCS card.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and deliver construction activities across designated sections of the highways project.
• Supervise site engineers, subcontractors and construction teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assist with planning and programming works, monitoring progress against project milestones.
• Oversee construction activities including earthworks, drainage, road construction, structures and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare and review RAMS, inspection and test plans, and other relevant site documentation.
• Support the Site Agent with resource planning, subcontractor management and programme delivery.
• Identify technical challenges and work collaboratively with the project team to implement practical solutions.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained throughout construction.
• Liaise with the commercial team to support cost control, reporting and subcontractor coordination.

My client is an established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering major highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a technically challenging scheme while building your experience and progressing towards a Site Agent or Project Management position.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Sub Agent, you will support the Site Agent and Project Manager in coordinating and delivering construction activities on a major highways project in Ballinluig.
