Job summary

City Highways seeks a Streetmason Improver (Gr 4) or Skilled Streetmason (Gr 5) to support highway maintenance and development works in Leicester. Duties include paving, drainage and general labour on-site, with potential progression.

Candidates should hold NRSWA/Streetworks and CSCS cards (or commit to obtaining within 6 months), possess a full UK driving licence, and be willing to work standby shifts. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• NRSWA/Streetworks Ticket is required or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• CSCS Health & Safety Card required.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive LGV vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain highway and drainage features to specs.
• Lay paving materials and perform associated roadworks.
• Carry out general manual labour and labouring tasks on highways, sewers and watercourses.
