Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a General Foreman to join a Cambridge-based highways and civil engineering contractor on a permanent basis. You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, coordinating labour, plant and materials while supervising subcontractors to meet safety, quality and programme targets.

You will work closely with Site Agents, Engineers and Project Managers to maintain programme delivery, ensure compliance with drawings, specs and method statements, and keep accurate site

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman within highways or civil engineering.
• A strong understanding of highways construction, earthworks, drainage and associated infrastructure works.
• Demonstrable experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of construction health and safety procedures.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Relevant site qualifications, ideally including SSSTS or SMSTS and CSCS.

The Opportunity
