Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Deliver child‑focused speech and language therapy to children in schools and within the clinic setting.
  • Work closely with Local Authority partners to develop our pre‑school offer to nurseries and families and embed key messages in these settings.
  • Support the SLT drop‑in sessions, deliver groups to families in the Hubs, and work with families on play, phonological awareness and language development.
  • Plan and deliver training to other professionals and share clinical knowledge of child development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engaging with early years practitioners and families.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent.
  • HCPC Licence to Practice (or documentation proving high‑level practice).
  • Significant experience in assessment and management of children with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Experience working within a multi‑agency, multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Planning and delivery of training to other professionals.
  • Clinical knowledge of child development and its application to speech and language therapy.
Desirable
  • Evidence of knowledge of universal, targeted and specialist models and their implementation.
