Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a welcoming primary school in Stanwick. You will support teaching and learning, lead small group interventions, and deliver planned lessons when the class teacher is absent, in a positive and inclusive environment.

The role requires an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, with a strong focus on safeguarding, pupil attainment, and collaborative work with teachers and SEN staff.

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school located on Church Street, Stanwick, for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or a confident Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in their career, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Your role will involve supporting teaching and learning across the school, leading small group interventions, and delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and senior leaders, you will play a key role in helping pupils make excellent academic and personal progress.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), your responsibilities will include:

• Are confident leading whole-class learning and small group interventions
• Demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• Have a proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting children's learning
• Are committed to raising pupil attainment and promoting positive outcomes
• Are passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
