Priory School in Lewes is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting students with Special Educational Needs. The role includes class coverage and dedicated support to individuals and groups within Behavioural Alternative Provision.

The position is part-time and term-time only, with a pro rata salary based on 39 weeks of work per year plus 6.05 weeks of annual leave. Hours are 30 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:15 pm, with inset days.

Qualifications

• Experience with students with Special Educational Needs
• Ability to cover whole classes and provide targeted support
• Interest in education and ability to teach concepts to young people

Responsibilities

• Cover whole classes in the main school
• Provide dedicated support to individuals and groups in Behavioural Alternative Provision (Internal Exclusion)
