Job summary

Potters Gate CofE Primary School is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher and a pupil with SEN as required. The role is suitable for part-time applicants up to 32.5 hours per week, term-time only (38.6 weeks per year).

You will work under the Deputy Head and class teacher to aid learning, safeguarding and manage routines. Experience is desirable but not essential; the school offers a supportive environment and opportunities to develop through the SCITT scheme.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above is required.
• Willing to contribute to school ethos and safeguarding.
• Good written and spoken English; confidence with IT and classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine support to the teacher in the care of pupils and classroom management.
• Offer language and learning support to a specific pupil as needed.
• Assist with visits, trips and out-of-class activities as required.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to planning and feedback to teachers.
