Job summary

The Trust is seeking an ambitious Higher Level Teaching Assistant to deliver learning activities and targeted interventions while taking a central pastoral and safeguarding role. You will work closely with teaching colleagues to support emotional wellbeing, build positive relationships and help pupils feel safe, included and ready to learn.

Experience of SEND and pastoral support is important, with excellent communication, judgement and a clear commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience of SEND and pastoral support is important.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and judgement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning activities and targeted interventions as an HLTA, coordinating with teaching colleagues.
• Coordinate pastoral support, promote positive relationships and help pupils develop emotional regulation.
• Work with families, staff and external professionals to respond to emerging needs.
• Lead safeguarding arrangements and record keeping where appointed as DSL, maintaining safeguarding culture.
