Job summary

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School in Coventry is seeking an HLTA to join the Learning Support team. You will provide tailored support to students with SEND and occasionally assist Sixth Form students in developing independent learning skills. You will contribute to planning and preparing lessons and resources to support learning.

You will monitor student progress and give constructive feedback to help learners succeed, working with a friendly team in a safeguarding‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with learners, staff and parents.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying support needs in class and one-to-one sessions.
• Proactive and compassionate approach to student development and safeguarding.

The Role:

As an HLTA within the Learning Support team, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Offer specific support to our Sixth Form students on occasion, helping them to develop independent learning skills and achieve their academic goals.
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and resources to support students’ learning.
• Assist in the monitoring and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and support to help them succeed.
