Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is recruiting an experienced HLTA for a full-time role in a primary school's SEN base in Longsight, Manchester. You will deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support, aiding learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development while working closely with teachers and the SENCO.

The ideal candidate will have HLTA experience, strong SEND background, resilience, patience and a passion for making a positive difference to children's education.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience with pupils who have SEND.
• Experience delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group support.
• Ability to support learning, behaviour and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Work within the school's SEN base.

Setting: SEN Base within a Primary School

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Longsight, Manchester, working within their dedicated SEN base for the full academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA or highly skilled Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident taking on responsibility within a specialist provision.

The Role:

• Working within the school's dedicated SEN base
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development
• Leading learning activities and interventions where appropriate
• Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and the wider support team
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and key life skills
• Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified or experienced HLTA
• Strong experience supporting children with SEND
• Confident working with pupils who have additional and potentially complex needs
• Patient, adaptable and resilient
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Confident taking responsibility for learning activities and small groups
• Passionate about making a positive difference to children's education and development
