Qualifications

The Role

You will need to be a strong communicator, good team player and interested in innovative approaches to learning and teaching.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Understandingof the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Condition
  • Experience of a range of ways of communicating with children who are non-verbal or are in theearly stagesof language development
  • Experience of planning and delivering learning activities
  • Uncompromisinglyhigh expectationsof themselves and all children and be able to engage children in fun and interesting ways
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
  • Understandingof the behavioural needs of children with ASC andhow to adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude and nurturing nature
  • Hold Level 2 qualifications as a minimum.

The Meadow

The Meadow is aResource Base supporting 12 pupils ranging from Year 1 to Year 3 who have an Education,Healthand Care Plan (EHCP) for a primary need of Autism or Speech Language and Communication. Our priority is to ensure that pupils in The Meadow receive a broad, balanced and rewarding curriculum that gives them the skills and the knowledge to excel in life and in their Education. The curriculum has been made in a way which will draw out and give priority to the most crucial aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum to give our children knowledge and the means to reach their full potential and independence.

The Trust

The Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) is a Multi-Academy Trust which has experienced rapid growth since it started in 2016. There are currently 33schools in the Trust.

The Lighthouse Schools Partnership is cross-phase and includes Infant, Junior, Primary and Secondary schools. The Trust is a mixed MAT and includes both non-denominational and Church of England schools.
