Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Bolton is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils with SEND in Key Stages 3 and 4 across 1:1, small group and classroom settings. The role starts in September in a welcoming school committed to a nurturing environment.

You will work closely with teaching staff, delivering targeted interventions, supporting lesson delivery, and promoting positive behaviour and independence among learners.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience within specialist schools, PRUs, SEMH settings, or supporting challenging behaviour is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1, small group, and classroom-based support.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, learning activities, and classroom management.
• Deliver targeted interventions and lead learning activities where appropriate.

A welcoming school in Bolton is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team from September. Working primarily across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with additional learning needs and behaviours that may challenge.

You will work across 1:1, small group, and whole-class settings, helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive academic and personal outcomes.

As an HLTA, you will also work closely with teaching staff, delivering targeted interventions and supporting the smooth running of lessons.
