Randstad UK is seeking a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Haywards Heath. This part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality classroom learning with no planning burden.

You will lead whole-class sessions, follow curriculum plans, manage behaviour, and collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to support pupils of all abilities. A long-term placement with potential for permanent contract is on offer.

Qualifications

• Leadership: lead a whole class independently (HLTA or equivalent).
• HLTA status or Level 4 Certificate proof.
• Strong behaviour management and authority.
• Flexible across year groups and subjects.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Lead whole-class learning sessions and cover teacher release time using provided lesson plans.
• Deliver engaging lessons, follow existing curriculum schemes, and maintain classroom momentum.
• Manage classroom behaviour according to school policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to provide pupil support across abilities.

Relevant Certification: HLTA status, Level 4 Certificate, or substantial classroom-based leadership experience.

Behaviour Management: Strong ability to establish authority quickly and maintain high standards of respect.

Flexibility: An adaptable approach to working across different year groups and subjects.

Compliance: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
