Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a specialist SEN school in Greenwich. You will support pupils aged 4-11 with ASD and complex learning needs, lead lessons when required, and work closely with teachers to deliver engaging activities.

This role offers daily rate of £114-£130, a supportive team, and clear career progression opportunities. An Enhanced DBS and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Are you a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a real difference?

We are seeking dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join a specialist SEN school in Greenwich, supporting pupils aged 4-11 with Autism (ASD) and complex learning needs.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging learning activities, provide targeted interventions, and support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. You will also lead lessons when required and help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will have:

• HLTA status or relevant experience within an SEN setting
• Experience supporting children with ASD and complex needs
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, flexible, and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
