Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a SEN school in Greenwich. The role is full-time, long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will support the class teacher, work with students with autism and learning difficulties, manage behaviours, and lead small group or 1:1 sessions during PPA time. A relevant HLTA qualification or degree is required; prior experience in SEN and a solid knowledge of the National Curriculum is

Qualifications

• Hold the HLTA qualification
• Experience working with children/young people in SEN settings
• Understand various SEN needs and how to support learners
• Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and its application in SEN
• Ability to build relationships with children quickly and effectively

The school are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will be full time, working Monday-Friday within class.

Key responsibilities will be;

• Supporting the class teacher
• Supporting students with Autism and Learning Difficulties
• Managing behaviours
• Working with small groups and 1:1
• Leading lessons for Teachers PPA time

The Chosen candidate will;

• Have the relevant degree or TA qualification
• Have experience working with children / young people
• Understand various SEN needs
• Has a sound working knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Can effectively build relationships with children quickly.
