Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work full-time at a Primary School in Ashington (NE63) from September 2026. The HLTA will be based across KS2, covering PPA sessions and leading small groups for intervention.

The contract runs until Easter 2027, with a potential extension depending on the school and performance. The role offers a competitive weekly salary of £525–£550, with daily PAYE rates, a guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability), and

The School and Role

Vision for Education is seeking to hire a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Ashington (NE63) from September 2026. The HLTA who is successfully appointed for the role will be based across KS2 at school, covering PPA sessions as well as leading small groups for intervention. The role will run until the Easter break, but there could be an opportunity for this to extend too. This is a 'Good' Primary school, where staff foster a love of learning and where children feel happy and supported coming to school.

• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
