Dorset Council UK is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a fixed-term contract from November 2026 to 31 August 2027, working 21.25 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 12:00–4:15pm) in Weymouth. The role includes PPA cover, lunchtime duties, and leading an after-school sports activity, with a focus on activity, teamwork and wellbeing.
Applicants should hold an HLTA qualification or have relevant HLTA-level experience, with strong class leadership and a passion for sport or PE.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and positive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive school team.
This is a varied and rewarding role, working across five afternoons each week. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with an interest, experience or qualification in sport and physical activity, as an important part of the role will be encouraging pupils to be active and delivering an after-school sporting activity or club.
