The ideal candidate will hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, be confident managing a class, and bring enthusiasm for sport or coaching to enrich school life and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Holds an HLTA qualification/status or has relevant HLTA-level experience.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a class.
• High expectations for pupils and ability to build positive relationships.
• Organised, reliable, flexible and able to use initiative.
• Enjoys being an active member of the school community.
• Interest/background/qualification in sport, PE or coaching is beneficial.
• Able to plan and lead engaging sporting activities for varied ages.
• Understands safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of lunchtimes and promote active play.
• Provide PPA cover and deliver planned learning activities.
• Support pupil learning, engagement and wellbeing.
• Lead an after-school sports activity or club.
• Promote physical activity, teamwork, confidence and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe, inclusive environment.
