Job summary

Hob Moor Community Primary Academy is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Nursery. The role requires a Level 6 EYFS qualification, a calm, caring disposition, and the ability to break tasks into small steps. You will support the Class Teacher, lead groups, and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday, term-time. Salary band and DBS checks apply, with safeguarding at the core of our inclusive trust culture.

Qualifications

Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Nursery

Location: Hob Moor Community Primary Academy

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm, these hours are to be worked during the school term time

Salary: £31,015 - £33,673

Actual salary: 25,389 - £27,564

Contract: Maternity leave cover

About you

Being a HLTA requires a certain set of skills and expertise

For this role a level 6 qualification in EYFS is an essential requirement

You will have calm and caring disposition

The ability to break down activities into small step and step teaching

A team player, willing to work closely with likeminded people who all have the children’s best interest at heart

Someone who is able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in child development and the curriculum

Passionate about enhancing each child’s experiences and building upon their learning.

Someone who is able to ‘step in’ to support the Class Teacher as and when needed, this may be supporting small groups of children or leading whole class activities

We are looking for someone who is able to work flexibly, someone who is adaptable and able to work in line with the needs of the school and the children who attend.
