Smile Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning across primary school settings in Bushbury. The role is full-time with long-term prospects and pays £90-£108 per day, depending on experience.

You will work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, support individuals and groups, and help maintain a calm, inclusive classroom. DBS update service or willingness to apply is required.

Formación

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience in a school setting is required if qualification is not held
• Previous experience as a TA in a primary school
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Positive, patient and flexible with pupils of varying abilities
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one

Responsabilidades

• Assist with playground duties and school activities as required by the school

As a Higgher Level Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Early Years to Year 6
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to support their learning, development and progress
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Assisting pupils with varying abilities and learning needs, including those requiring additional support
• Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities to enhance pupil engagement
• Working collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, helping them to build confidence and reach their full potential
• Assisting with playground duties, school activities, and other responsibilities as required by the school

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Lot of experience working in a school setting if you do not hold a relevant qualification
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
• A positive, patient, and flexible approach to working with pupils of varying abilities
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one
