Job summary

St Mary's RC Primary School in Tudhoe is seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover PPA and work alongside staff to support learning across key stages. The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week over 39 weeks, with a pro rata salary and an emphasis on helping all children access learning in a caring Catholic ethos.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills, be flexible, and work well as part of a team to advance school aims and pupil

Qualifications

• Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar is desirable.
• Ability to cover PPA time and support class teachers.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

Actual Salary: £24,922.42 - £27,735.86 per annum
5 days, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks (TTO + Training Days) Permanent

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, committed and highly motivated permanent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover PPA, who will work alongside colleagues to help shape the future of our school as it moves forward. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping all children to learn through a range of activities, including those with barriers to their learning, is positive, flexible and has the ability work as part of a team, works well under direction, but also shows initiative and can take ownership of tasks. The successful candidate will have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills and has experience or is confident to work with all ages within the primary phrase.
