Job summary

Brunswick Community Primary School is seeking an outstanding HLTA to join our caring team. The post is to start as soon as possible and requires a proven track record of quality practice in education with high standards of pupil behaviour.

You will be able to teach whole classes and support children across the primary age range, including those with additional needs, working collaboratively with staff, parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Must help pupils make progress with learning.
• Experience providing whole-class cover.
• HLTA standards or equivalent qualification held.
• Experience with inclusive approaches for pupils with additional needs.

Governorsof Brunswick Community Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding,experienced, committed and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to workwithin our school. The post is to start as soon as possible.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistants mustdemonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding to be able to help thepupils they work with make progress with their learning.
• The post holder must hold relevant qualifications in bothEnglish/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy, equivalent to at least Level 2 ofthe National Qualifications Framework
• The post holder should have been assessedas having met the HLTA standards or hold an equivalent professionalqualification relevant to the role.
• Applicants will have experience of whole class cover.

The post holder willbe required to provide classroom cover where needed and to lead a designatedarea according to the strengths of the successful applicant .
