Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an Experienced HLTA to join our partner primary schools along the A23/Brighton Road corridor. You will lead pre-planned lessons, deliver targeted intervention groups, and support assessment during PPA time, helping raise attainment across classes.

Based in Purley, Kenley or Coulsdon, you will require HLTA status (Level 4) or equivalent and a solid knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.

Qualifications

• HLTA status (Level 4) or equivalent experience covering whole classes in UK primary schools.
• Excellent knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Strong behaviour management and a confident, professional classroom manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead and teach pre-planned lessons to whole primary classes during teacher absences or PPA time.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate small-group intervention sessions for pupils needing extra support.
• Support class teachers with assessment and tracking of pupil progress.
• Provide a nurturing, structured environment for all learners, including those with SEN.

About the Role: Are you a qualified or highly experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding role close to home? Our partner primary schools along the A23/Brighton Road corridor are actively seeking HLTAs to join their team.

This is a step up from a standard TA role. You will be a vital asset to the school, splitting your time between supporting individual classes, leading specialised intervention groups (in Literacy and Numeracy), and covering whole classes during the class teacher's PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time.
