Job summary

• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and high-quality lessons to whole classes, across the school (EYFS - KS2).
• Lead small-group and targeted interventions to support pupils' academic progress and development.
• Provide effective classroom cover and deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to monitor pupil progress and identify individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and educational development, encouraging confidence and independence.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers and providing targeted support to pupils.
