Job Description

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary: Scale 6, Spinal point 18 – £33,607.38

Hours of work: Full Time (32.5 hours per week) considered – Term Time Only

Contract Term: Fixed Term Contract Until 31st August 2027

Closing Date: 4th September 2026

Interviews: 6th September 2026

Start date : 13th September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, creative and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to complement the work of our teachers. The post will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes. You will work closely with teachers and will assist them in assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.

  • You should have experience of working in a primary school learning environment and have confirmed HLTA status.
  • You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities.
  • You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and relate well to both children and adults.

We are seeking someone who is committed to working within the framework of the school’s policies and ethos and who will contribute to the development of our creative curriculum.
