Suffolk County Council's Trimley St Mary Primary School seeks a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across the primary age range, supporting teaching staff and helping deliver an engaging curriculum.
The role involves working in a phase group, providing PPA cover, one-to-one and small group interventions, and supervising classes when needed. The post is part-time, term-time only, with a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, commencing as soon as possible.
Trimley St Mary Primary School are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to our caring team, to work with children across the primary age range, providing class-based support to teaching staff. You will be allocated a role within a phase group and will become integral member of the team.
This position requires you to compliment the teachers’ implementation of the national and school’s own policies and strategies. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and provide PPA cover and release to certain year groups. Also, to supervise whole classes occasionally during the short- term absence of teachers.
This position will require you to work with pupils across the year group on a one to one or small group basis, carrying out interventions, activities and tasks planned within our exciting curriculum offer. You will also be supporting children’s social and emotional development in implementing personalised programmes providing pastoral care, guidance and supervision.
