Job summary

The Holgate Academy in Hucknall near Nottingham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with the Foundation Learning Lead and teaching staff to support the holistic development of pupils across the curriculum. The role involves assisting with curriculum delivery and helping students access the secondary curriculum to improve attainment and well-being.

We require NVQ3 or equivalent, GCSEs in English and Maths at C or above, and experience with SEN/D students.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
• GCSE English and maths at C (or above) Grade (or equivalent)
• Experience of working with young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities
• Good numeracy and literacy skills

Essential

• NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience together with a working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.


• GCSE English and maths at C (or above) Grade (or equivalent)


• Experience of working with young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.


• Good numeracy and literacy skills

Desirable

• Relevant information, communication and technology qualification e.g. ECDL etc.


• HLTA status - Or working towards
