Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is offering a Higher Apprentice Quantity Surveyor position to develop skills in financial management and contract performance while working toward a degree. The role combines site work with formal study, including NVQ Level 4 and an HNC, on a 2 years 6 months program across Heidelberg Materials sites.

You will start with hands-on experience under supervision from the Regional Commercial Manager and colleagues, with structured training and progression toward a supervisory

Qualifications

• GCSEs in five subjects including Maths, English and Science (C or above).
• Two subjects including a STEM subject with 112+ UCAS points.

Responsibilities

• Assist in financial management, contract performance negotiation, and reporting.
• Support procurement, supplier engagement and financial control of contracts.
• Contribute to health, safety and environmental practices on projects.
• Work toward NVQ Level 4 and HNC qualifications and attend apprenticeship training.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and company regulations.
