Bolt Pharmacy in Blackburn, UK, is seeking a Dispenser to join our on-site team. You will turn prescriptions into safe, accurate treatments, labelling and packing while following SOPs and escalating queries to pharmacists.

You'll process 30+ orders per hour with 99.5% dispensing accuracy, maintain cold-chain controls, and support stock management and trainee dispensers. This role reports to the Shift Lead and integrates with pharmacists and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Dispensing qualification required or equivalent.
• Experience in high-volume dispensing with 30+ orders per hour.
• Excellent accuracy in medicine selection and labeling.
• Ability to work independently within SOPs and escalate when needed.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Get every prescription right: Select, label and prepare medicines accurately within your qualified scope and escalate clinical queries.
• Keep treatment moving: Process and securely pack 30+ orders per hour with accuracy and safety.
• Protect every medicine: Maintain cold-chain controls and monitor temperatures; handle storage deviations promptly.
• Take ownership of stock: Check deliveries, manage storage and rotations, and support stock takes.
• Quality is everyone’s business: Record errors and near misses; keep workstations clean and compliant.
• Support the team: Mentor trainees and assist colleagues with patient queries and order updates.
