Job summary

Bolt Pharmacy, part of AIOS, is hiring a Dispenser to turn prescriptions into safe and effective treatments for patients across the UK. You will handle dispensing, packing, and quality checks, operating within SOPs and collaborating with pharmacists to ensure timely delivery.

This on-site role at Bolt Pharmacy in Blackburn requires focus, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards, with opportunities to mentor trainees and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Valid Buttercups dispensing qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in high-volume dispensing.
• Strong accuracy in medicine selection and prescription preparation.

Responsibilities

• Get every prescription right: select, label and prepare medicines following SOPs and escalate clinical queries.
• Keep treatment moving: process 30+ orders per hour with high accuracy and compliance.
• Protect every medicine: maintain cold-chain and monitor temperatures; escalate deviations.
• Take ownership of stock: check deliveries, storage, rotation, and stock takes.
• Make quality everyone's business: record errors, keep stations clean, follow PPE and hygiene rules.
• Raise the team's standard: mentor trainees and support colleagues with patient queries.
