Job summary

Empro Group in London is seeking a High Voltage Shift Leader to oversee data centre electrical and mechanical systems, focusing on risk management and service delivery. You will lead shift teams in inspection, operation and maintenance of critical assets, ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

The role requires HV Authorized Person qualification, 5+ years in data centre operations, and strong communication and IT/report-writing skills. Overnight stays and on-site training may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Centre or Critical Environment operations.
• HV Authorized Person qualification and HNC/HND in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Strong communication, IT, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to lead a team under pressure and commitment to operational excellence.
• Willingness to attend training on-site and overnight stays if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain M&E systems within the Data Centre, ensuring safety and energy efficiency standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and manage Specialist Subcontractors.
• Act as the authorised person for 11kV Electrical Systems, issuing permits to work (PTW).
• Maintain accurate records of work orders and participate in team/client meetings.
• Promote QHSE compliance and manage planned maintenance tasks.
