This is a great opportunity to expand your skills and make a real impact. Based at the University of Southampton, you will support the team delivering innovative high voltage engineering projects, with the results written up as deliverable reports and publications. These findings will directly contribute to the safe operation of the National Supergrid, supporting the UK's low carbon future.
It is essential you have skill level equivalent to NQV3, HNC, A-level with proven work experience in relevant technical support roles and job-related training. You should demonstrate the ability to work independently, use your initiative, and work effectively in a team with strong communication skills. Proven organisational skills and responsibility for tasks are also required.
An undergraduate degree or an equivalent professional qualification in a numerate discipline, along with experience with numerical methods (analytical or software-based such as COMSOL, MAGNET, Ansys), is advantageous but not essential.
