Based at the University of Southampton, you will support the team delivering innovative high voltage engineering projects, with the results documented in reports and publications. These findings will directly contribute to the safe operation of the National Supergrid, supporting the UK's low carbon future.
It is essential that you have a skill level equivalent to NQV3, HNC, A-level with proven work experience in relevant technical support roles and related training. You should demonstrate the ability to work independently, use your initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team, with strong communication skills. Proven organisational skills and responsibility for tasks are also required.
An undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) or an equivalent professional qualification and experience in a numerate discipline, along with experience in numerical methods (analytical or software-based, e.g., COMSOL, MAGNET, Ansys), is advantageous but not essential.
