Job summary

Ferrovial Construction seeks a High Speed Rail - Cable Management Design Engineer to support the HS2 Track Infrastructure Project. The role centers on coordinating the Cable Management System (CMS) design and delivering ballastless track solutions, reporting to the Track Design Lead and collaborating with partners across the project.

You will coordinate design interfaces, review submissions, manage technical risks, and ensure compliance with client standards, regulations, and CDM requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in rail or infrastructure projects with systems integration.
• Ability to coordinate complex design interfaces across disciplines.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across partners.
• Knowledge of risk management in design and construction contexts.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and CDM guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cable Management System (CMS) design coordination across the HS2 Track Infrastructure Contract.
• Manage CMS design interfaces with permanent works, temporary works, rail systems, civil disciplines, and construction activities.
• Coordinate design development reviews, drawings, specifications, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with designers, suppliers, construction teams, client representatives, and Rail Systems Alliance members to deliver compliant solutions.
• Monitor CMS progress to align with programme requirements and support technical assurance throughout design, construction, and handover.
• Support ballastless track design management, including interfaces with track, rail systems, and civil infrastructure.
• Participate in design and construction meetings, provide technical input, and review monitoring reports and documentation.
