Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is recruiting for a High Speed Rail – Cable Management Design Engineer to support the HS2 Track Infrastructure project. You will coordinate CMS design across the contract, manage interfaces with rail systems and civil disciplines, and support ballastless track design activities.

The role involves collaboration with designers, suppliers, construction teams and client representatives to deliver compliant, buildable solutions and ensure programme alignment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in railway industry.
• Experience on multidisciplinary railway infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of railway systems integration and interface management.
• Proactive, organized and able to take ownership of technical deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day coordination of the Cable Management System (CMS) design across the HS2 Track Infrastructure Contract.
• Manage CMS design interfaces with permanent works, temporary works, rail systems, civil disciplines and construction activities.
• Coordinate design development activities, including drawings, specifications and submissions.
• Collaborate with designers, suppliers, construction teams and client representatives to deliver compliant, buildable solutions.
• Track design progress and ensure deliverables meet programme requirements.
• Support technical assurance during design, construction and handover.
• Ensure CMS designs comply with client standards and CDM requirements.
• Identify and manage technical risks, opportunities and design changes.
• Support ballastless track design management and interfaces.
• Coordinate technical reviews and issue resolution.
• Participate in design and construction meetings and provide technical input.
