Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc in Redditch is seeking an Operations Manager High Pressure to join the Senior Management Team. You will oversee production processes, optimise resource allocation, and ensure safety, quality and efficiency standards are met in a high-precision assembly environment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive lean manufacturing, and work with the Quality Team to maintain ISO 9001 compliance while coordinating supply chain and inventory to hit production targets.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
• Green belt or higher Lean practitioner.
• Experience in operations management within manufacturing or complex assembly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and resource utilization is optimized.
• Coordinate complex assembly workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration across production, engineering, and quality control teams.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Manage, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional team, including supervisors, operators, and technical staff.
• Work with the Quality Team to ensure operations meet ISO 9001 and health, safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with supply chain and procurement to manage inventory and meet production deadlines.
