Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a motivated airport operations driver to operate high‑lift vehicles, transport teams and equipment to aircraft stands, and ensure safety and compliance with airside protocols.

You will perform pre‑use checks, work with supervisors to meet tight turnaround times, and pass airport security clearance and CAA vetting. Full UK driving licence required; airside permits provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience operating commercial, industrial or specialist vehicles is advantageous.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and secure working environments.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player with good communication skills.
• Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass airport security checks.
• Willingness to undergo and pass vetting to CAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate high‑lift vehicles to transport teams, equipment and materials to and from aircraft.
• Position the vehicle safely at aircraft stands in line with airside protocols.

• Follow all safety, airport security and airside driving rules.
• Report defects, incidents or issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and equipment.
• Support additional operational tasks to maintain service delivery.

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Varied shift rota -Two earlies and two lates with two days off.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Operate high‑lift vehicles to transport teams, equipment and materials to and from aircraft.
• Position the vehicle safely and accurately at aircraft stands in line with airside protocols.
• Conduct pre‑use checks, ensuring the vehicle is safe, compliant and ready for operation.
• Work closely with supervisors and operational teams to meet tight turnaround times.
• Ensure all safety, airport security and airside driving rules are followed at all times.
• Report any defects, incidents or operational issues immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and its equipment.
• Support additional operational tasks as required to maintain smooth service delivery.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Ideal Candidate
• Full UK driving licence (additional airside driving permits provided if needed).
• Experience operating commercial, industrial or specialist vehicles (advantageous).
