Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced counsellor to join its NHS Talking Therapies service in Blackpool. The post involves delivering high quality counselling to people with common mental health problems and using face-to-face, online and telephone sessions.

You will hold a diploma in counselling (BACP accredited) and BACP accreditation, with training in Talking Therapies Modality or a commitment to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Diploma in counselling from a BACP accredited course.
• BACP accreditation or equivalent.
• Training in a Talking Therapies Modality or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Provide high intensity counselling to clients with common mental health problems.
• Deliver counselling in face-to-face, online and telephone formats.
• Work with clients from diverse backgrounds with interpreters as needed.
• Support access to services by offering flexible hours including early mornings and late evenings.
