Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced counsellor to join the NHS Talking Therapies service in Blackpool. You will deliver high intensity counselling to clients with anxiety and depression, across face-to-face, online and telephone sessions.

The role requires a diploma level qualification in counselling from a BACP accredited course, current BACP accreditation, and training in a Talking Therapies Modality.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification in counselling from a BACP accredited course.
• BACP accreditation or equivalent.
• Training in a Talking Therapies Modality.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for suitability for NHS Talking Therapies and provide evidence-based counselling interventions.
• Undertake risk assessments in line with service policies.
• Adhere to activity contracts for client contacts and weekly clinical sessions.
• Engage in regular case management and clinical supervision.
• Complete data collection requirements within the service.
• Keep detailed records of all clinical activity per service protocols.
• Assess and integrate work/employment issues into therapy.
