Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist to support adults with emotional and psychological difficulties.

The post requires registration with a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, BABCP) and a recognised counselling or related therapy qualification. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to understand and address the psychological impact of long-term physical health conditions.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised qualification in counselling, psychotherapy or related therapy.
• Accredited and registered with a professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, BABCP).
• Experience delivering therapeutic interventions to adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understands psychological impact of long-term physical health conditions.
• Willing to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Has experience of delivering therapeutic interventions to adults experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Has an understanding of the psychological impact of long-term physical health conditions. Is committed to working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Experience of working within physical health settings would be advantageous but is not essential.
